What we believe

God

There is one living and true God, the Creator and ruler of heaven and earth, who eternally exists in three co-equal persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus

Jesus Christ is God’s Son, fully divine and fully human. He was born to the virgin Mary, led a sinless life, gave His life for us on the cross as our substitute for the forgiveness of our sins, was buried, bodily resurrected, ascended into heaven and will someday return in glory.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is at work in leading people to Jesus, and making them more like Him. He empowers Christians to live in a way that is pleasing to God and to fulfil the purpose He has for their lives.

The Bible

The Bible is God’s inspired Word to us and the authority for Christian belief and conduct.

Human Beings and Salvation

Even though people were created in God’s image, we have all sinned and become alienated from God. We are incapable of becoming right with God through our own efforts. Only by the grace of God can we know forgiveness, wholeness, right standing with God and eternal life by putting our faith only and completely in Jesus Christ.

The Church

The Church is made up of all who have repented and put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. The Church should be unified in loving God, loving one another, and making Him known to the world.

Baptism

Baptism is a sacred act instituted by the Lord in which He is at work. It is for those who repent and confess faith in Jesus Christ and is expressed by full immersion.

Communion

Communion is a sacred act in our worship instituted by the Lord in which He is at work. Through faith we take bread and wine as signs of Jesus’ body broken and blood shed, to remember and celebrate what God has done for us in Jesus Christ.

Some key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

We meet at the church building in the middle of the town. The address is:

You can see a map on our contact us page

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. There will be a time of singing with opportunity for church members to pray or read a passage from the bible. After prayers there will be a preach from one of the leaders sometimes with a chance to respond at the end of the service.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What happens to the children at church?

We have a fantastic programme for the children at KCM for ages 0-16. Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship (sing songs!) together for the first part of the morning. Someone will announce when the children need to go to their programme. You will need to go with your children and register them.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups for you under church life.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!

You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
