Freedom in Christ Discipleship Course

  • LIVE out your new identity in Christ
  • BREAK through to spiritual maturity
  • UNCOVER strongholds and deception
  • RESOLVE issues from the past
  • BECOME a genuinely fruitful disciple

Jesus said that knowing the truth is the key to freedom (John 8 v 32), but simply hearing or reading the truth is often not enough to KNOW it.  This course will help you make real connections with the truth.  It's not a matter of collecting information or being loaded down with things to do.  It's simply about deepening our understanding of who we already are in Christ and what flows from that.

We'll find out what happened when we became Christians and how that is the basis for genuine victory over sin; we'll learn how to change negative ways of thinking and behaving; and we'll look at the spiritual battle we're in and understand how to win it.  You'll also be given the opportunity to go through The Steps To Freedom In Christ, a gentle encounter with the Lord (just between you and Him), to help you resolve issues from the past that may be holding you back.

In short the course will give you a framework for moving on to spiritual maturity, perhaps faster than you had thought possible.  No matter how long or short you have been a Christian, you will benefit from its straightforward and thoroughly biblical approach.

A course to help you know the truth

Some key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?
King's Church Mildenhall meets every Sunday at 10.30am for our Sunday Service.
Aim to arrive at least 10 minutes early to ensure you get a parking spot and seat in time for the service to start.

We meet at the church building in the middle of the town. The address is:

Market Street
IP28 7EF

You can see a map on our contact us page

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. There will be a time of singing with opportunity for church members to pray or read a passage from the bible. After prayers there will be a preach from one of the leaders sometimes with a chance to respond at the end of the service.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What happens to the children at church?

We have a fantastic programme for the children at KCM for ages 0-16. Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship (sing songs!) together for the first part of the morning. Someone will announce when the children need to go to their programme. You will need to go with your children and register them.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups for you under church life.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!

You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
